New boat!!

Ok, the Merry Fisher is making way for a new chapter in my boating life, my own small ship :-) it will be in Stockholm area in April & will be ready to fish Lax at the end of May......

10 Simpor!!!

Out today for an afternoons fishing for cod, we caught 2 & lost 1. We also caught 10 Simpor or long-spined bullheads....

More "stuff"

Today I bought a second hand Yamaha 8hp high thrust outboard as my trolling engine, it already has a controllking throttle control so that's another item off my shopping list. Almost there ;-)

Finally I've found them off the archipelago, lost a 3kg fish at the side of the boat but landed one & returned 2 so far, happy, happy :-)

Webasto heater is in!!

After a day of squeezing into impossibly small spaces on my boat the heater is in.... I feel like I've been fighting Tyson but turning it on made it all worthwhile, warm air while it rained outside :-)
Next on the list is a trolling engine but that will be fitted after the winter.

New items bought...

As the boats not for sale any more I've bought a Webasto 2000ST diesel heater and a new (silent) hydraulic pump for my autopilot. Future updates will be a radar & a 9.9hp kicker motor but this will be for next year so no rush.... A "camper" awning may be a possibility to improve life onboard while moored & can be folded away when trolling.

Summer trolling

Out on Wednesday 22nd of August to try for a Summer lax far out off Utö... No luck, the water was 18.2 on the surface & between 6.5 & 8 at 100' down. Lots of baitfish on the screen & a submarine appeared on the surface!!!!!
