To much wind to fish...

Trolling today has been cancelled due to the weather but it's forecast to come down to 6m/s tomorrow so it gave me a chance to do some maintenance, I put a double split links on a few flutter spoons for a little more flexibility.....

Grän 12.7Kg

Out with 2 friends, Graeme & Leif, 12:05 the right side line next to the planer board released & zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............ Fish on! After 30 minutes the fish was aboard, 12.7Kg of silver, this is my personal best but hopefully not for long :-) For those interested, the fish took a yellow/silver Ismo Mag with a 20 gram lead one rod length in front of the lure.  The lure was 120' behind the release so it was close to the surface, exactly the same setup as the last 7.2Kg fish at Landsort..... The fish coughed up Spig (sticklebacks) when it was aboard.

Grän

Fished Grän yesterday but only caught 2 Garfish (Näbbgädda). I have to find out if the long streaks of glassy water are freshwater as the fish might follow these? Anyone with any ideas about this please comment..... Water was cold in around Lågland 3.2C @ 40' & 5.2C on the surface but when I went far out it was 5.1C @ 40' & 9,1C on the surface. Saw two seals far out & as there were no rocks to sit on they must be after fish....

Landsort

Got down to Landsort at 21:00 on Saturday 21st of May, slept over in Norrhamn & got up at 04:30 to set up for the days fishing.
Once everything was ready me & my father left the harbour & set out for the fishing area... The downriggers were set up & the planerboards run out, I clipped on the first line & was sliding it out when PING, it released & a nice salmon leaped into the air!! My father took the rod & 15mins later he had his lifetimes first silver 7.2Kg (16lb) fish aboard and it was only 06:30!!!
